What is IMAC?
The International Minority Affairs Cooperative (IMAC) is a nonprofit established to assist organizations to obtain their program goals. Founded in 1993, IMAC’s mission is to enhance and facilitate the development of programs in consortium with organizations serving multicultural populations.
IMAC serves community-based organizations, national nonprofit organizations and associations, and small businesses in developing and strengthening programs for African American, Asian, Hispanic, American Indian and Pacific Islander populations and organizations.

Preventing Childhood Obesity
IMAC's obesity awareness program focuses on nutrition, reading labels, food groups, and healthy cooking in the African-American community.

Curbing Underage Drinking and Substance Abuse
With the support of the Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services, IMAC worked with the police department and Crimesolvers to create a case study on underage drinking and present an interactive session to teens on the risks and solutions to curbing underage drinking and substance abuse.
Linking Organizations to Resources
Our primary objectives are to:
provide technical assistance for program development and implementation;
provide education resources for underserved communities; and
conduct and create a forum for independent research
